Emerson Adult Education Centre have a number of ‘student houses’ spread out across the campus, each with its own style and character. There is a selection of single and twin rooms, all with shared toilets, showers and kitchens. Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished in a simple style, flooded with natural light, offering participants a tranquil space for rest and relaxation.
The majority of food at Emerson is made from seasonal, organic produce with over 40% of ingredients sourced from their gardens or from local farms.
The kitchen is well known for its creative, vegetarian, vegan and seasonal meals. Fresh, delicious home-grown and cooked food is prepared daily with love and care by an experienced kitchen team. Emreson have set meal times as believing that food brings people together. The ringing of the gong announces that lunch or supper is ready to be served.
Ethical, sustainable living is central to everything at Emerson. Much is grown in their own biodynamic garden and green houses. All meals are vegetarian to reduce carbon footprint, as this is an educational facility, there is no alcohol on the premises.
